I have sometimes wondered how I would feel if stopping foreclosure were an issue for my family. I imagine that I would feel ill with worry and it would have a detrimental impact on all members of my family. Probably I would feel very isolated and alone. Hence I can see why families faced with the challenge of stopping foreclosure might feel that it is them against the world and that nobody is on their side. In such a situation I think that it would be easy to forget that stopping foreclosure is also in the best interest of the mortgage lender because they also stand to lose money. I think that if I were in such a situation I would definitely do my research and request the help of one of the more reputable loan modification companies.  I would do anything not to lose the home that my husband and I have put so much work into maintaining.
