stopping foreclosure, loan modification companiesI’ve heard some devastatingly sad foreclosure stories in the past few years and I only have to imagine myself in that situation to get at least some idea of how traumatic such an ordeal must be for anyone who experiences it. I feel genuinely sad for anyone faced with the threat of foreclosure but there is something I still struggle to understand.
There are a few different ways of stopping foreclosure before it happens. Some people try stopping foreclosure through a short sale. Other people manage to stop the proceedings by approaching one of the many loan modification companies to get their repayment rate adjusted into more manageable installments. Given that there are effective ways of stopping foreclosure and avoiding catastrophe why are so many people still losing their homes?
I tend to think that if I were in that situation I would try stopping foreclosure by any means available because I was raised to be strong and fight back when faced with adversity. Why do some people just seem to give up without much of a fight considering all the time and money they have invested into their property?  The way I see it any person faced with losing their home should at least try stopping foreclosure in any way they can if only for the sake of their family. Life is much too short to just roll over and give up when things get tough.
